XXX (part one and part two (part of the lipstick traces series))
In written correspondence the letter ‘X’ has represented a kiss since at least 1763.

XXXPart one





XXX part one is a short video looped of smashing three lipsticks, each lipstick is another kiss, each destroyed lipstick is another attack on relationships, the idea of the “made up woman”, and the absence of a lover. XXX is used in text to convey the action of kissing and this work again explores the idea of an absence of a partner or a destroyed partner.

XXX part two is a tryptic of lipstick on canvas, instead of the x symbol an actual kiss has taken place on the canvas.
